After hearing only praise for the 42-year-old, who only retired from playing last summer, and that was enough to tempt the Spanish outfit into making contact with their man.

One stumbling block that has already been suggested, however, is that Costacurta’s wife is not keen to leave Italy and that may see Getafe have to do some convincing on the merits of life in Madrid.

Super Agent Ernesto Bronzetti has stressed that Milan have no intention of luring Roma boss Luciano Spalletti to San Siro, should Carlo Ancelotti take over at Chelsea.

Ancelotti is expected to stay on at Milan next season, however his name has still been heavily associated with the vacant managerial position at Chelsea, particularly after he was spotted with Blues owner Roman Abramovich in Geneva last week.



Galliani Opens The Door For Shevchenko

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists his side need two decent strikers and he has opened the door for a return for Andriy Shevchenko.

The Rossoneri have been hunting Barcelona star Ronaldinho ever since his magic knocked them out of the Champions League in 2006.

However, they have not managed to strike a deal with Barcelona. Galliani believes the ‘Dinho deal can still be achieved, but he reveals that Chelsea’s Shevchenko is more likely to arrive.
